Team Flavell – Running for Dad/Poppy❤️
This month, we’re taking on the MyMarathon challenge together in memory of someone incredibly special to us — our Dad and Poppy.
In early March, we lost him suddenly to a heart attack, he had on going heart issues since 2017. He was literally the heart of our family, someone who meant so much to all of us — his daughters, son-in-laws, grandchildren/mokos, and wider whānau. His loss has changed our lives forever.
Taking on this challenge together is our way of honouring him. Every step we run is for the love, strength, and memories he gave us.
We also want to do this for something bigger — raising funds and awareness for the Heart Foundation, so that hopefully fewer families have to experience the same heartbreak.
