Living to tell the tale
This May, I’m taking part in MyMarathon to raise funds for heart research that will help save lives.
Every 90 minutes, a person dies of heart disease. It's the single biggest killer in New Zealand, but it doesn't have to be.
Thanks to him acting on warning signs and receiving excellent medical care, Dad's survived to tell the tale of his "massive heart attack".
This challenge is my chance to support the outstanding mahi of the Heart Foundation and all those who work hard to help Kiwi hearts, in the hope that more whānau can tell tales of survival.
