I'm walking 84 km in support of my friend, Ellie.

Heart Disease hits differently when it affects the people you care about. So I plan to walk a double marathon over 28 Days to help raise funds for Heart Foundation to support people like my friend

My Why?

The primary reason i decided to do this was to help delay or prevent onset Heart Disease within my loved ones by helping them to receive care, treatment and education through organisations like Heart Foundation.

The second reason why is because of Philophobia.

Something that has affected me for the last 5yrs (nothing to do with heart disease) probably a response to trauma

For those who wish to join me for my daily walk around Hamilton Lake during this challenge? Starting date is May 1st

Keep an eye on Facebook for the times as they will vary

Some weeks this will be during the mornings

On alternative weeks this will be done in the afternoons

But one thing is certain:

This will happen for 28 Days Consecutively

I will walk this regardless of presence and weather condition

The Walk of Life

This May, as part of my own health and fitness journey; I plan to take part in the "MyMarathon" Challenge, hosted by Heart Foundation in a bid to help raise funds and save lives of everyday Kiwis like my friend and many of my other loved ones.

Heart disease is one of the single most biggest killers in New Zealand, and I want to do what i can to help support the thousands of Kiwis whose lives are impacted by this disease every single day.
