Support my challenge to save Kiwi hearts
Every 90 minutes, a person dies of heart disease. It’s the single biggest killer in New Zealand, and I want to do something to show my support.
So during the Month of May, I’m taking on the challenge of walking/running 100km as part of MyMarathon to raise awareness and support for the New Zealand Heart Foundation. This cause is especially close to my heart—literally—as I was diagnosed with Long QT Syndrome back in 2022, a condition that’s changed how I live but not how deeply I care. While I’m lucky to still be able to move and push myself like this, there are so many others, especially young Kiwis, who face far tougher battles every day. This challenge is for them - for the kids and the elderly who need more research, better treatment, and brighter futures. Every step I take is in honour of those who can’t, and every bit of support helps keep hearts beating stronger.
A huge thank you to all - Nate
