Spoiler alert.... I love getting active and love a challenge!
This May, I am taking part in My Marathon and have set a goal to run/walk 84km across the month. Wait a second... what on earth am I doing?? I just crunched the numbers, and this is an average of 2.7km a day!!
Okay, so why am I doing this?
Heart Disease is a cause close to home as I lost my beloved Granny to a heart attack when I was in high school. As a Dietitian with a family history of heart disease, I am passionate about harnessing the power of lifestyle and supporting people with evidence-based advice. One of the best things we can do for our health is move our bodies every single day and a challenge like My Marathon is an excellent way to dust off the running shoes and do it for a good cause while raising awareness about heart health.
