Run #12 and #13:

So the month of May is now over, here is my final update for the Heart Foundation MyMarathon May challenge

Run #12 was done on Saturday, May 30th where I ran 4.68km in the beautiful Mangawhai to the Surf Beach, up the trail for the most stunning views then back along the Estuary and up onto the main road

Run #13 was done on Sunday, May 31st. The last day to complete the challenge. I decided that after I had already done an hour long workout at 6am that morning, with our good family friend (and now my personal trainer 😆) Matt, that I would go out at 7am and run 8.02km to bring my total kilometres for the month up to 84.4km! (Please note the unintentional love hearts in the map of Run #13 which is very symbolic of the Heart Foundation cause!)

My fundraising goal was initially $500 and with the help of my friends and family, together we have raised over $950 for the heart foundation. My kilometre goal for this month was 42.2km (equal to one marathon) and with the support of my loved ones, I have doubled my goal and I ran 84.4km (equal to 2 marathons) this month!

I’m so incredibly proud of myself for not only completing this challenge but exceeding my own expectations! It has been a privilege to be a part of this challenge. To not only raise money but also awareness of the heart ache that heart disease causes in our country.

Thank you to all those who have supported me throughout this month whether it was those who gave kind motivational comments, messages and conversations or those who donated - all the money we raised together is going to help some deserving people!

Run #11: 2.2km

Run #11

I'm in the home stretch to the end of the month in my challenge for MyMarathon to support the Heart Foundation NZ and I have smashed my target by conquering a total of 71.7km so far this May!

Please help me finish strong by making a donation to my fundraising page

Every donation, big or small, will help fund heart research to save Kiwi hearts!

Run #10: 8:5km!

This morning I ran 8.5km towards the Heart Foundation NZ MyMarathon challenge, bringing my total up to 69.5km!

Thank you to all those who have donated so far! But the month is not over yet! if you’re in a position to donate, any amount is appreciated!

Let’s see how many kilometres I can run this month and how much money we can raise for kiwi hearts!

Run #9: 5.3km!

Run #9 for the Heart Foundation NZ MyMarathon May Challenge!

5.3km today making my new total 61km!

I have increased my fundraising goal to $800. So far, we’ve currently raised $762!!

Thank you to all those who have supported me so far through this challenge and to those who have been able to donate

If you’re in a position to do so, any donated amount is appreciated!

Run #8: 15.5km!!

Run #8 for MyMarathon: 15.5km at Mission Bay today! An absolutely stunning run! My longest distance outside of a running event - so proud of myself and will definitely be keen to run it again!

My new total for MyMarathon is 55.7km which means I have exceeded my kilometre goal of 42km (equal to one marathon)!

Also, thanks to my amazing, supportive dad Jason Thomas for getting me over and above my fundraising goal! We have now raised $728 for the Heart Foundation NZ!

However, the month of May is not over so I will not stop running for this cause until the very last day of May!

So if you’re in a position to do so, please support me and this cause by donating!

Thank you so much to everyone for the support so far!

Let’s see how many more kilometres I can run and how much money we can raise for kiwi hearts!

Run #7

Run #7 for the Heart Foundation NZ MyMarathon challenge! Today, I accidentally ran 10.4km - I underestimated how much further a 2.2km loop of Herald Island would become if I went down each side street and back to the beginning of the loop everytime - 7 times to be exact! I thought, surely it wouldn’t be more than 6km 😅

That makes my new total 40.2km, leaving only 1.8km to go - it’s looking like I might need to increase my kilometre goal for the month… considering there’s still half of the month to go 😜

If you’re in a position to do so, it would be awesome if you could help me reach my fundraising goal of $500 - I’m almost there! Any donation amount is appreciated! 🥰

Run #6

Run #6 for the Heart Foundation NZ MyMarathon challenge! 8.5km done. New total: 29.8km, leaving only 12.2km to go!

First time running with my new hydration vest! Loved it! Also currently loving the Autumn colours all around!

I’m almost at my fundraising goal of $500, any donation amount is appreciated - even just $5, it can go a long way if we all work together to contribute to funding life saving heart research!

Thank you to those who have supported me so far on this challenge!

Run #5

Run #5 done! 4.4km added to my new total of 21.3km. I’ve already passed halfway with still 20 days left to complete the challenge! Only 20.7km to go!

If you’re in a position to do so, any donation amount is greatly appreciated

Thank you to everyone for all the support so far through my journey to complete this challenge - a special thanks to the random dude who enthusiastically supported me on my run today as I ran up a very big hill. “Keep going. You got this!” 🤣🏃🏼‍♀️💪🏼

Run #4

Run #4 for the Heart Foundation NZ MyMarathon challenge! 3.5km done today. 25.1km to go!

This May, I'm running a total of 42km across the month to fund heart research to help save Kiwi lives

Run #2: 7.3km 04/05/2026

Run #2 for Heart Foundation NZ MyMarathon, where I will be running a total of 42km across the month of May to raise funds for kiwi hearts

Today I ran 7.3km - slower pace than usual as I struggled with a lot of aches and pains after a 7 hour work day

Thank you to everyone who has donated already! The support has been so incredibly positively overwhelming! So far, we have raised $423!

If you’re in a position to do so, any donation amount is appreciated!

31.9km to go! Let’s do this 🥰

May MyMarathon

This May, I am taking part in the Heart Foundation NZ MyMarathon challenge. I will be running a total of 42km (equal to a marathon) across the month of May to raise funds for heart research that will help save Kiwi Hearts.

My good friends Kiana Dixon and Aims Paris are joining me on this challenge in our team called “Run to the Beat” where we will run to the beat of our music for the beat of healthy hearts 🏃🏼‍♀️‍➡️🎶❤️

More than 1 in 23 adults in New Zealand currently live with heart disease. 16-18 Kiwis die everyday from heart disease, that’s one person every 90 minutes. It’s the single biggest killer in New Zealand.

I love running especially when it’s for a good cause as it makes it that much more motivating and enjoyable. I’m proud to be taking action towards supporting the thousands of Kiwis whose lives are impacted by this disease every single day.

I would appreciate any support you are able to provide me through this challenge to help prevent the heartache caused by heart disease.

If you’re in a position to do so, donations of any amount is appreciated!

I will be posting my progress throughout the month as I add to MyMarathon kilometre total!

Together, we can win the race against heart disease in NZ!

Run 1: 2.8km!

Today’s Run was 2.8km! 39.2km to go! Let’s do this!

Support my challenge to save Kiwi hearts

This May, I’m taking part in MyMarathon to raise funds for heart research that will help save lives.

Every 90 minutes, a person dies of heart disease. It's the single biggest killer in New Zealand, and I want to do something to support the thousands of Kiwis whose lives are impacted by this disease every single day.

Please make a donation to support my challenge and help save Kiwi hearts.

Together, we can win the race against heart disease.

Thank you!
