Auckland update

I’m going to be up in Auckland next week to be with Tim as he has another heart operation so will be trying to get out and about and do lots of walking towards my talky when I can in and around Auckland.
I’m excited that on Monday 27th May we will be appearing on the AM morning  show on TV3  with William on his crossovers where he will be following me on some walks and having a chat on what the MyMarathon is all about and why I am doing it,.
It will be a great opportunity to promote the MyMarathon challenge for May and also to promote the wonderful work the Heart Foundation does for all heart patients

My fundraising update

THANK YOU  THANK YOU  THANK YOU from the bottom of my❤️ to all  my fabulous family, friends and work colleagues who have or are supporting  my fundraising with MyMarathon for the Heart Foundation    I have just passed my initital goal of $2000 🎉🎉🎉 wahoo, so because I am so passionate about this cause I am going to raise my goal and continue raising funds for the Heart Foundation ❤️ who help so many Kiwi folks of all ages

A sincere thank you for your support, very much appreciated 🙏

Tim's Journey

Seven years ago, my 25-year-old son Tim was diagnosed with a chronic heart condition which affects the electrical circuits of his heart.

He has since had six operations including the implantation of an ICD, (defibrillator and pacemaker)  and at this stage, he’s able to lead a relatively normal life with some tweaking along the way although is restriced with his physical activity.

It’s been challenging for him, but he’s an absolute inspiration to us all with his amazing can-do attitude and positive outlook on life.

It’s an unknown journey ahead for us all, but having the support of organisations like Heart Foundation NZ is crucial. Raising money for research, improved health services and access to specialist care is really important -- and it brings hope.

Keeping fit and active is my passion, and I’m so happy to be doing this for Tim.

Please feel free to give whatever amount you're able to. All donations are greatly appreciated 🙏

I’ll share my daily walks with you and hopefully they might inspire you to get out there as well!

Thank you from the bottom of my ❤️

Support my challenge to save Kiwi hearts

This May, I’m taking part in MyMarathon to raise funds for heart research that will help save lives.

Every 90 minutes, a person dies of heart disease.

Heart disease is the single biggest killer in New Zealand, and I want to do something to support the thousands of Kiwis whose lives are impacted by this disease every single day.

Please make a donation to support my challenge and help save Kiwi hearts.

Together, we can win the race against heart disease.

Thank you!

Susie And Gerald Morton

As always Sue you are ‘out there doing it’ and for such a great cause and wonderful son. We remember tramping the Wilkin with Tim and the girls. Tim was only small - Gee remembers him tipping his pack upside down to drink from his water bottle 😆 Best wishes, Susie and Gee Morton
