Auckland update
I’m going to be up in Auckland next week to be with Tim as he has another heart operation so will be trying to get out and about and do lots of walking towards my tally when I can in and around Auckland.My fundraising update
Tim's Journey
Eight years ago, my 25-year-old son Tim was diagnosed with a chronic heart condition which affects the electrical circuits of his heart.
He has since had six operations including the implantation of an ICD, (defibrillator and pacemaker) and at this stage, he’s able to lead a relatively normal life with some tweaking along the way although is restriced with his physical activity.
It’s been challenging for him, but he’s an absolute inspiration to us all with his amazing can-do attitude and positive outlook on life.
It’s an unknown journey ahead for us all, but having the support of organisations like Heart Foundation NZ is crucial. Raising money for research, improved health services and access to specialist care is really important -- and it brings hope.
Keeping fit and active is my passion, and I’m so happy to be doing this for Tim.
