Heart disease is the single biggest killer in New Zealand, and we want to do something to support the thousands of people whose lives are impacted by this disease every single day.
During the month of May, I have made the commitment to walking/running the length of a marathon (42km) in support of the Heart Foundation.
For those of you who have been following along with Te Moana Raniera Heripo Kaata, and his heart journey - you will understand how grateful we are to still have him in our lives. He is the epitome of resilience and strength! Although he is an energetic, fearless and a healthy looking baby, his manawa requires much more support to keep pumping. So, this year, I aim to raise pūtea to assist all the heart soldiers, like our "Sonson".
