What a month!!! 
Blair and I are so grateful to our very generous friends and family 
when we were advised that Blair needed open heart surgery to repair or replace a leaking Mitral Valve.
This motivated me to sign up for  My Marathon to help focus on fresh air and fitness for the month. I extended my goal from 42kms ending up with 127kms skimming in with 3 marathons over the 31 days 
Last week Blair had his Mitral Valve repaired. He was home in Wanaka on his 6th day post op feeling a huge sense of relief that it was all behind him. We are both very grateful to all the staff involved on the 7th Floor and ICU at Dunedin Hospital  and our wonderful family support through this torrid time.
We saw and experienced first hand the value of well trained and confident staff who are experts in their field. 
Blair has set 2 major goals, to climb Mt Iron before xmas and to plan another overseas trip for next year.

Support my challenge to save Kiwi hearts

This May, I’m taking part in MyMarathon to raise funds for heart research that will help save lives.

Every 90 minutes, a person dies of heart disease. It's the single biggest killer in New Zealand, and I want to do something to support the thousands of Kiwis whose lives are impacted by this disease every single day.
