This May, I’m taking part in MyMarathon to raise funds for heart research that will help save lives.
Every 90 minutes, a person dies of heart disease. It's the single biggest killer in New Zealand, and I want to do something to support the thousands of Kiwis whose lives are impacted by this disease every single day.

Hey Rod, well done champ! A great cause and one I know a bit about having had 2 stents and a heart ablation at age 50! I was just turning 50 do did some tests, and things evolved badly and I ended up finding out I was 90% blocked in the LAD and 70% in the Central. Rated in the 99th percentile after an MRI, i.e. about to have a massive heart attack and die! Luckily intervention and stents and now 6 years on, fit, healthy, active and loving life, even if each days starts with a handful of pills! Well done on the paddle board, outstanding effort. Good luck and enjoy life!
