My little introduction

Kia ora my name is Hone and I’m 16 years old. I’ve recently joined a marathon to support people affected by heart disease.

This cause is really important to me because my granddad passed away from heart disease two years ago. Taking part in this marathon is my way of remembering him and helping others who are going through the same thing.

It’s going to be a big challenge, but I’m ready to give it my best and make him proud. Thank you for supporting me.

Every 90 minutes, a person dies of heart disease. It's the single biggest killer in New Zealand, and I want to do something to support the thousands of Kiwis whose lives are impacted by this disease every single day.
