Farm Fundraiser
At 10am this morning, after Cambridge Parkrun I headed out to 201 Baker Rd Karapiro to an event on a farm and this was a fund raiser for Achilles and others so it’s great to support multiple fund raisers and my Conqueror virtual run events, where I get post cards, historical info on the area surrounding the trails and a medal. All this from adding up the kms I do over time gets rewarding results for not just me but many charities as well!HRR Memorial Relay Taitua Arboretum
Sunday 25th at 8am Hamilton Road Runners and walkers held an event at Taitua Arboretum. The annual Memorial Relay which was well attended and an official group photo was taken along with 100s of other unofficial photos all posted on FacebookWell today was a rest day

This morning was cool and a little cloudy as I headed out to do parkrun at 8am. I volunteered as Tail Walker which the time is usually around 60 minutes. Then back to my sister’s place for a quick breakfast, then get ready to go to the St. Claire’s event doing 12km walk starting from the Vines and ending at St. Claire’s with probably around 2,500-3,000 runners and walkers. So getting a total distance today 17kms. Lots of fun.Holiday walks and runs
I’ve done walk or runs on 17 days of our holiday so far, completing 27kms and we’ve been away since April 7th, so only just over half the days of our holiday. Looks like I need to give it a push along, this Saturday I’ll be doing parkrun and St. Claire’s event total 17kms. That will make 42kms, one Marathon 🤪Holiday Walks and Runs
We are currently in the South Island on holiday touring, Blenheim, Christchurch, Hanmer, Motueka, Nelson and back to BlenheimSupport my challenge to save kiwi hearts
This May, I’m taking part in MyMarathon to raise funds for heart research that will help save lives.
Every 90 minutes, a person dies of heart disease. It's the single biggest killer in New Zealand, and I want to do something to support the thousands of Kiwis whose lives are impacted by this disease every single day.
Please make a donation to support my challenge and help save Kiwi hearts.
Together, we can win the race against heart disease.
Thank you!
