Help me raise funds for heart research. Help me save lives.
Kia ora
Earlier this year, I had a life-saying cardiac intervention, after an angiogram revealed my LAD coronary artery was 90% occluded, which meant I could have catapulted off this mortal coil without warning at any moment.
I was fit and physically active and I had no idea anything was wrong, other than the mildest discomfort. And if I hadn’t got it checked out when I did, there is a good chance I wouldn’t be here with you today.
So I’m taking part in MyMarathon to raise funds for heart research that will help save lives.
But that’s not the only reason I’m doing this.
Heart disease took my brother Trace and my Auntie Melva, so I’m also doing this in remembrance of them.
Every 90 minutes, someone in Aotearoa New Zealand dies of heart disease.
It's our single biggest killer, and I want to do something to support the thousands whose lives are impacted every day.
Please donate to support my challenge and help save Kiwi hearts.
Together, we can win the race against heart disease.
