This kaupapa is very personal to me and my whānau. Heart problems run through our whānau, as they do for many others.

This May, I’ll be running a marathon in honour of my dad, who passed away at the start of this year, and my brother, Hamuera Haylen Brooky. These two men have been affected, but they never gave up on life. They are incredible fathers, amazing coaches, and true inspirations to us all.

Let’s take the time to honour those who are going through tough times, hardships, and challenges. Let’s continue to uplift and support one another, and keep this beautiful kaupapa alive.
