Starting the fundraising journey ...

4 years ago today I had an ICD fitted (Implantable cardioverter defibrillator) basically a pacemaker that packs a punch!

The reason? On 4th April 2022 my heart was on the verge of giving up - if it wasn't for living in a city with access to an amazing ambulance service and a great hospital, then this story would have ended very differently.

Because of this I have been wholeheartedly supporting the Heart Foundation over the last few years and I've decided to join their My Marathon event this May. I have pledged to walk 126km throughout the month of May (phew a month with 31 days!).

Ideally I will raise some money along the way, but you can also sign up too - let me know if you want to and I can send you the link for that.
