Thank you to all of those who are taking part in the MyMarathon initiative from the Heart Foundation. 

We've had some great feedback so far, and those taking part have covered over 260km in the first week! (226 lodged here in MyMarathon and a few lodged directly with East Health). 

We are looking for photos of how you are engaging with the initiative. Perhaps it's a selfie out on your walk or maybe of some of the scenery. Your photo could be shared in our PHO comms and will go in the draw for a spot prize. Send your photo to parvink@easthealth.co.nz

Want to stay motivated but feeling a little overwhelmed?

We've had some feedback from team members that the emails from the friendly team at MyMarathon are a little overwhelming. These are the email reminders to walk, raise funds and connect with the initiative. 

We've reached out and they've let us know that you can manage the number of messages, emails and calls you might be getting by contacting the MyMarathon support team and emailing mymarathon@heartfoundation.org.nz.

Welcome to the East Health My Marathon Team

You found us! This May, we encourage staff at our office and the 19 General Practice Clinics we support across East Auckland and Frankilin to join this My Marathon team. 
You don't have to run or walk a whole marathon; any steps you take during May can be counted. 
Parvin Kapila, our Health Promotions Coordinator, will lead the charge with Emma Walter's support in Marketing & Comms.
